We fell in love with the place as soon as we arrived and didn’t want to leave. Such a comfortable shack with absolutely everything provided. You have created a magnificent beach home, beautiful and tastefully decorated. We loved the special touches, the wood heater espresso machine, comfortable bed, bathroom goodies, and the good time vibes! We’ll be back!”

Moonbird beach house/shack is in an amazing location with bay of fires to one side and wineries, Bicheno town, Freycinet national park and more the other. We spent three nights and were able to fit in a sauna/lake plunge in lake derby, checked out the beautiful St Columba falls, enjoyed amazing coffee and a little pop up market in Scamander, enjoyed an almost private beach just across the road, and explored the bay of fires. We continued down to Coles bay afterwards but it could easily have been a day trip. We spent every night eating in, enjoying the beautiful view and amenities the house had to offer.

Amazing!! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Moonbird Beach Shack is amazing and was the perfect honeymoon destination for us! The location, the styling, everything! It’s a real gem of a spot and we were sad to leave, but we will definitely be back. We loved renting e-bikes from Giant at St Helens and riding some of the new trails, we also LOVEDDDD Surf Side Hotel Beaumaris... amazing spot for a burger and beer post ride.
